The Washington Football Team started strong on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. The game was already a wacky one since; firstly, the fixture was delayed by two days because of the recent outbreak. And secondly, the Football Team was playing with a third-string quarterback, Garrett Gilbert.
However, the game was made even weirder because of the spooky and crazy pick by WFT safety Landon Collins in the first possession of the Eagles. Although it was not considered an interception at first but after several replays, it was quite clear that it was most certainly the craziest interception of the season.

The ball landed in the hands of the safety after ricochetting from the heels of the Eagles’ tight end Dallas Goedert. At first, it seemed that the ball had bounced off the turf. But on a closer look, it was revealed that the ball instead bounced off the heel of the tight end.

A crazy interception by Landon Collins for Washington Football Team
The 3rd and 1 handoff to WFT ended the first quarter with the Eagles trailing the guests by 10-0. It was certainly a good start for a third-string quarterback to get a head start against Jalen Hurts. However, it was unfortunate for him that he couldn’t maintain the lead until the end of the game. As the Washington Football Team lost to the Eagles by 27-17.

Collins could have gone all the way to the end zone after picking up the miraculous interception. But the officials blew the whistle, thinking that the ball had touched the ground, robbing the former Alabama All-American his chance for a second takeaway touchdown of the season.

However, he came up with another takeaway during the Eagles’ second possession, as he picked up the fumble from Hurts’ sack. That miraculous interception made by Collins became his 11th of his career, and his second of the season. While the recovered fumble was the fifth of his career and second of the season.
