Gisele Bündchen knows how to steal the show on every occasion. She is one of the biggest names in the fashion industry and all eyes were on her for this year’s Met Gala. And the Brazilian did not disappoint. She actually chose the occasion, her first Met Gala after her divorce from ex-husband Tom Brady, to dial back 16 years and bring back the nostalgia from those days.
When they were together, Brady and Bündchen attended almost every event with their arms around each other. The ex-power couple split up in October last year after 13 years of marriage. Fast forward to the 2023 Met Gala, Bündchen came in alone and looked gorgeous as ever. But it was her dress choice for the day that had all the onlookers hooked.

Gisele Bündchen chose a vintage dress for this year’s Met Gala night. A reporter pressed the supermodel about the story behind what she was wearing. Bündchen revealed that she wore the same dress in a photoshoot 16 years ago and chose it for the Gala as she wanted something that reminded her of the designer. And she nailed it.
“So, this is a vintage Channel, designed by Karl. I wore this dress 16 years ago in a photo shoot in his house. And so I wanted to wear something that reminded me of him and experience with him. So, I chose this dress,” Bündchen told the Vogue reporter.The dress might have been 16 years old but her ex-husband of 13 years Tom Brady, who has attended the event with her in the past wasn’t with her. It is the first time since they became a couple in 2006. Well, that was like 17 years ago. Let’s leave it at that. There was a time though when Bündchen and Brady not only attended but also co-hosted the fashion’s most important party.

The year was 2017. Tom Brady was enjoying the offseason after orchestrating the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. The New England Patriots came from 3-28 down to win it 34-28 against the Atlanta Falcons. Then came the Met Gala that year.
Brady went to New York with his wife Gisele Bündchen and not only attended the extravaganza but co-hosted it with her. And the couple was full of compliments for each other on the red carpet. Those were the times.
