According to the reports of SI, Raiders’ head coach Josh McDaniels shared some good news during a media address. QB Jimmy Garoppolo passed his training camp physical and won’t be on the physically unable to perform list. There are no restrictions on Garoppolo going into training camp. This positive development means Garoppolo will not be placed on the physically unable to perform list and will be able to participate in training camp.
When asked if there were any restrictions on Garoppolo heading into training camp, Coach McDaniels emphatically stated, “No, there aren’t.” He further explained the team’s approach to handling players coming off rehabilitation, emphasizing that “It might not be 100 percent of the repetitions first day and etc., but we would never do that with anybody.” McDaniels mentioned they’ll reintegrate him smartly after his rehabilitation, ensuring he gets enough practice reps.
Garoppolo’s three-year Raiders contract guarantees him $33.75 million, with a $22.5 million base salary and a $23.8 million cap hit in 2023. He missed organized team activities in May due to a foot injury, reportedly requiring surgery before joining the team. Apart from this, the entry of the NFL GOAT will benefit the $5.1 billion team.
