Patrick Mahomes on the Tennessee Titans
The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Tennessee Titans in week nine of the NFL on Sunday. And the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes wants his team to be ready for the matchup.
During a press conference before the start of the game week, the KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes only had good things to say about his Sunday Night Football opponents. He reminded everyone how the Titans defeated the Chiefs the last time these two teams met.“Yeah, you gotta be ready to play. l mean last year we weren’t ready, and they beat our a**. So, we gotta make sure we are ready to go,” Mahomes said.
He further elaborated on the kind of matchup he expects it to be.“It’s gonna be a physical matchup and we’re gonna have to go out there and play our best football. This is a team that is a lot better than I think a lot of people out there on social media and media talk. They don’t really talk about them. But we know that it’s a great football team coming into town with to play our best football,” the 2020 Super Bowl champion said.
Chiefs’ season so far
Patrick Mahomes can say that the Chiefs have to be ready for their opponents, but this season, they seem to be ready for almost everyone. Kansas has won five out of the seven games they have played so far. The only teams to defeat them are this season’s Super Bowl favorites, the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts.

The team sits comfortably at the top of the AFC West divisional table. They are poised to repeat their 2020 and 2021 heroics of making it to the Super Bowl if Mahomes can keep up his form.
Mahomes is fourth in the league in passing yardage this season with 2159 yards thrown. He tops the charts in touchdown passes. The QB has made 20 of those so far this season. The opposing defenses have intercepted five of his passes till game week seven (game week eight was a bye week for the Chiefs).
