The Packers are finally back on track with a spectacular win against the Dallas Cowboys. Although Aaron Rodgers posted 31-28 by the end of the final whistle, there was a moment in the late fourth quarter where the quarterback had a verbal back and forth with head coach Matt LaFleur.

In the post-game press conference, Rodgers addressed the issue, calling it as venting his frustration for not getting an opportunity to pull out the plug. This game assured Aaron Rodgers and Co. a sigh of relief after breaking their five-game losing streak.

But the moment he shared with LaFleur on the sidelines apparently looked like a heated exchange and instantly caught the fans’ attention. The reporters asked him the reason for being frustrated despite leveling the points to 28-28 in the final minute of the fourth quarter.

“Just every single play call probably,” Rodgers said about their spat. “Felt like we were 30 yards from winning the game in regulation,” he added. Indeed, the Packers were short of 33 yards, and after getting possession of the ball, they made two running plays.

Soon LaFleur decided to pass the ball instead of running it and eventually turned out to be an incomplete attempt. Rodgers believed if they had kept the ball, the result would have arrived earlier without going into overtime.

The Packers got possession of the ball again after Dak Prescott failed to complete the pass. Rodgers charged 55 yards down the field, and Mason Crosby connected for the game-winning field goal. With this win, the franchise secured the second spot in the NFC North behind the formidable Vikings.

The Packers’ locker room is now hopeful for a playoff berth if they continue to win the remaining games this season. When LaFleur was asked about the heated moment, he shouldered the responsibility of indecisive playcalling.

“A lot of times when we get in those situations, we give Aaron a lot of freedom to run the show. Today, he does a great job with it. So hindsight is 20–20. That’s on me,” Rodgers said, per Ryan Wood.

“Last week was definitely a low, rock bottom-ish for sure… I felt like it was only up from there—A lot of demons were exorcised today,” he added via Rob Demovsky. The Titans are next on the line for the Packers at Lambeau Field, and hopefully, Rodgers would try to maintain this performance moving forward.
