James Cameron is back with a sequel to his blockbuster film Avatar, with ‘Avatar- The Way of Water’ released worldwide. The movie is a big wake-up call on the effects of humans on the planet and the climate crisis. Kind of a big screen wonder of a similar message of supermodel Gisele Bündchen a few years ago. Back in 2020, Bündchen pointed out the importance of waking up to the climate crisis.

The supermodel, who is also the ex-wife of NFL legend Tom Brady, is an avid advocate against climate change. She explained why the cause is important to her in an essay she wrote two years ago.

Gisele Bündchen wants to leave the planet a better place

Gisele Bündchen has always been an advocate for making an impact on the world. And in a personal essay she wrote back in 2020, she said she is determined to leave the planet a better place for her children. The supermodel pointed out that it is the humans who need the planet to survive. So, it becomes the responsibility of humans to preserve the planet.

“If we don’t take care of the gifts that the planet is giving us, and if we don’t live in harmony with all the different creatures on this planet, we’re going to be the ones who are gone. The planet doesn’t need us to survive—we need the planet. As humans, we need to be awakened to that,” Bündchen wrote.

Both Bündchen and her ex-husband Tom Brady are avid supporters of action against climate change. The NFL icon once compared the science behind his holistic medicine approach with that behind the climate crisis.

Tom Brady also believes in the science behind the climate crisis. He revealed that in a 2017 interview with Sports Illustrated, where he talked at length about his holistic medicine approach. And he ended up equating the apprehensions about holistic medicine to people denying the climate crisis.

“Why don’t teams take a more holistic approach? That’s like the debate on climate change. Why haven’t we done anything about it? Well, there’s a lot of money on the other side of it. But I do think more athletes are asking, how can I take care of my body? And we know what to do,” Brady said.

Brady is a big critic of western medicinal practices and uses his own techniques to take care of the body. And whatever his techniques might be, they have surely helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB to play at the elite level even in his mid-forties.
