Micah Parsons did not let the Cowboys’ Sunday game incident slide. The defensive star called out, what according to him, represents the double standards within the league. The Cowboys star called attention to a controversial rule within the league. During the Dallas Cowboys game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Parsons was able to bag an important fumble recovery.
The game would’ve been in Dallas’ hands, but the Cowboys went three and out on their next drive. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence found his opportunity to tie the game and eventually win in overtime. One would assume that the linebacker took to Twitter to rant about his team’s loss. But Parsons called out the game officials instead. What was Parsons so miffed about?

Micah Parsons was not amused by the fact that the referees missed a late hit on him. Post the loss to Jacksonville, Parsons tweeted, “Still no one talking bout this guy jumping on my neck?! With the league prioritizing offensive players with these calls, there’s no doubt Parsons wants more attention directed at the defense. Parson’s tweet states how defensive players cannot land fully on a quarterback, but someone who stepped on a defensive player got away with no penalty. Parsons is one in a queue of individuals who have been unimpressed with the league regarding the officiating during games.

Fans online reacted to Parsons’ tweet and conveyed what they thought of the incident. Fans weren’t impressed by what the Cowboys star had to say. This fan did not hold back-
Micah we love you- but please say less when it comes to this kinda stuff…it’s a bad look and doesn’t profit you

Another fan appreciated the LB but disagrees
You're one of my favorite players Micha and I disagree whole heartedly with roughing the passer calls but you can't fault a guy for going for a fumble with everything he has

Another user gives the linebacker some unsolicited advice
Love you Micah but you need to forget stats, forget penalties not called and forget radio shows. None of them will help you or the team in the future. I know you’re young, but if you really want to get where you want to go it’s time to focus on what you can control.

Parsons can find redemption in this fan’s tweet
I'm with you on that Micah even though I'm Broncos fan but yes all players should be protected the exact same way I think they've gone to far with protecting the QB as it don't make game fair, all of you players risk serious injuries playing that's part and parcel of the game hey

Another fan does not mince words and gets straight to the point
I love ya Micah but it’s time to worry about keeping the other team from putting up 40 on your team. Please worry about making your team relevant not all this petty stuff every week.

While Parsons may not be able to gain the favor of the majority this time around, there’s no doubt that the league needs to make many changes. The NFL has received complaints from teams and players with regard to the calls that are being made during games. While no immediate rule change can take place, alterations in the future might invariably face pushback from teams.
