The NFL fraternity has suffered some heartbreaking losses this year. A lot of people who’ve had an immense impact on the league have passed away, leaving fans and franchises to remember their importance and preserve their memories. One such player recently bid adieu to this world. With a career filled with some legendary experiences and a roller coaster of achievements, the player showed his skills in multiple positions on the gridiron. He was a prominent player of his time, a teammate with Dan Marino, and a crucial player for several NFL teams, including the Miami Dolphins.
A tight end and an offensive linesman for the Dolphins, he was also an exceptional college and high school athlete. As an offensive tackle, the NFL veteran was the protector of some football legends like Dan Marino and Earl Campbell. The Dolphins took to Twitter to pay tribute to the player. The Dolphins’ official page put out an in-memoriam post for their tight end and offensive linesman.
Miami Dolphins bid farewell to an old friend and player

The Dolphins commemorated the passing of their old player, Ronnie Lee, with a tribute on Twitter. They sent out a tribute to the family and friends who have suffered the loss. The tight end was 66 years old when he passed. He will be leaving behind an amazing legacy, both for the Dolphins and other teams he played for.

Lee had a 10-year-long stint with the Dolphins with a shift to the Falcons in the middle. Furthermore, he played both tight end as well as an offensive tackle for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins were not the only team he played for. The tight end had a great track record with other teams in the league as well as his high school and college football teams. His football life was nothing short of a legendary journey. Let’s revisit some of these moments.
Ronnie Lee: The man with multiple hats
The Dolphins are not the only team he played for. Lee also had 3 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and 2 seasons with the Falcons. The tight end was a spectacular college and high school athlete. Lee remains to be one of the handful of players who’ve played 3 different positions on the field which includes Bronk Nagurski, and HoFers Sammy Baugh and Les Richter.
He played on an undefeated state championship team in high school with John Tyler High School. Interestingly, this was the same team that had legendary footballer, Earl Campbell on it. Even with legends like Campbell on the team, Lee and his spectacular 80-yard catch that led to a touchdown ensured that they remained undefeated. He made sure his team went on to play in the finals.

Lee was later inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. He has similar success in college and was even inducted into the Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame. All in all, the tight end and a prosperous football career at each level.
