Patrick Mahomes is one of the best-performing QBs in the league right now. He has the speed, arm, and accuracy to make good passes happen. However, this makes him the prime target to be knocked out by the defense of the team they play. While playing against the Texans yesterday, the star quarterback was tackled and slammed to the ground by Nico Collins.

The tackle looked like might have been unnecessarily rough and this made Mahomes’ biggest fan quite mad. His wife, Brittany Mahomes, took to Twitter to talk rant about the tackle, and fans also reacted to the tweet.
Brittany Mahomes explodes on Twitter
Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany aggressively pointed out the inconsistency in the calls that her husband’s tackle did not get. She took to Twitter to react explosively, per Total Pro Sports, Brittany tweeted. Fans also reacted to her aggression, both in support and in mockery
One fan spoke about the inconsistency in calls for QBs in the league.
Trent Green just said it’s allowed. It’s weird you can slam a QB, but can’t put your entire weight on a QB when sacking them.
Very inconsistent.

A fan also berated Brittany for not knowing the rules of the game.
It was totally legal. He didn’t land on top of him. Maybe learn rules?
— Anne Zoey (@AnneShea15) December 18, 2022
There was also a comment that snidely asked Brittany to not embarrass the team.
Stick to things you know and understand. There is a reason why your husband and fans finds you embarrassing.

Consequently, another fan mentioned how some other players might get that call but not Mahomes.
But if that was Allen, Brady or Burrows it would have been a flag..🤬

Furthermore, a fan agreed with Brittany.
But not flags on Houston. Finally after it happened like 49 times, Houston got called for a late hit ONE time! I agreed with you Brittany. Any other quarterback would have gotten the call. pic.twitter.com/2I80Z1UVmm

Fans had mixed opinions on Brittany’s tweet but the fact remains that Mahomes took a very hard slam to the ground by the Houston defense.

Patrick Mahomes flung across and slammed
It happened in the second quarter. The play was 4th down with 2 yards to cover. While the Chiefs trailed by 7, they seemed like were about to make a play for the endzone or at least the red zone to try and get more points. There was a fumbled snap and as Mahomes went to quickly collect, he was grabbed by the neck and slammed by the Texan defense.
The quarterback was very obviously disoriented and demanded a flag, but it was in vain. The refs did not see the need to throw up a flag and Mahomes seemed frustrated with the lack of a call. However, the Chiefs made for the controversial lack of calls by thrashing the Texans and winning the game. However, the inconsistency in calls throughout the league makes one wonder why QBs like Mahomes do not get calls while some of the other QBs across the league do.
