Patrick Mahomes is one of the best-performing QBs in the league right now. He has the speed, arm, and accuracy to make good passes happen. However, this makes him the prime target to be knocked out by the defense of the team they play. While playing against the Texans yesterday, the star quarterback was tackled and slammed to the ground by Nico Collins.

The tackle looked like might have been unnecessarily rough and this made Mahomes’ biggest fan quite mad. His wife, Brittany Mahomes, took to Twitter to talk rant about the tackle, and fans also reacted to the tweet.

Patrick Mahomes flung across and slammed

It happened in the second quarter. The play was 4th down with 2 yards to cover. While the Chiefs trailed by 7, they seemed like were about to make a play for the endzone or at least the red zone to try and get more points. There was a fumbled snap and as Mahomes went to quickly collect, he was grabbed by the neck and slammed by the Texan defense.

The quarterback was very obviously disoriented and demanded a flag, but it was in vain. The refs did not see the need to throw up a flag and Mahomes seemed frustrated with the lack of a call. However, the Chiefs made for the controversial lack of calls by thrashing the Texans and winning the game. However, the inconsistency in calls throughout the league makes one wonder why QBs like Mahomes do not get calls while some of the other QBs across the league do.
