NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady recently did a promotional video with NCAA athletes for the BRADY brand. He wants to launch his apparel brand by delving into the name, image, and likeness (NIL) space with NCAA athletes. The company did release a statement on Thursday stating the plan was giving young players a platform for representing themselves.

The company’s apparel will be available in select Nordstrom stores beginning Jan. 19 and also will be available on bradybrand.com on Jan. 12. While speaking on the featured athletes, Brady states with excitement that all of them do perfectly represent the ethos of his brand. He also praises their work ethic and admires the drive they have shown during their early years as a professional player. He beams while stating, “Having these ten athletes represent our first Brady campaign is really special.

The NCAA football athletes who were revealed include Georgia Bulldogs player George Pickens and Coastal Carolina, QB Grayson McCall. It also featured stars from different sports like tennis player Patrick Zahraj, basketball player Sheduer Sanders among 5 other athletes.

The brand also revealed its plan to provide a system of clothing that performs across every activity by applying professional sports level innovation and engineering. The company was co-founded by Brady with entrepreneur Jens Grede who is also working with Kim Kardashian as CEO of SKIMS. Dao-Yi Chow will be the lead designer for the Brady brand, a well-known figure in the fashion industry.

An influential athlete like Brady coming out with his apparel is a big step. While his greatness on the football field is undisputed, the fashion industry will be a whole different ball game. The experts he brought in have that experience to grow and prosper his brainchild into a major brand.

Whether or not this will be a successful operation remains to be seen. But Brady does have a brand allure and power which is untouchable for most American sports athletes. So, in the meanwhile, the anticipation just continues to build and expand globally.
