Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow is turning into one of the best QB in the NFL. He finds himself playing in the Super Bowl LVI and with an opportunity to capture his first-ever Vince Lombardi Trophy. But the QB didn’t have the same immediate impact during the start of his college years. His time in Ohio State saw him get playing time, but not as a starting QB. Burrow got a 2018 Grad Transfer and the starting job with the LSU Tigers.

The connection was almost instant, as he played some of the best football of his college years as a Tiger. Burrow is one of the most decorated athletes in the college team’s history. He holds several NCAA, SEC, and LSU records while being the only second Heisman Trophy winner in the school history. But it was his 2019 season that he raised his game to some new heights.

It was the semifinal college football playoff game that unleashed the monster QB, who is currently in the Super Bowl.

The game has been a tale of pride for the LSU Tigers supporters. It is remembered by the Tigers fans for the hit on Burrow from UCF Knights LB Nate Evans. It was one of the turning points in the game when Evans taunted Joe Burrow as he was on the ground after taking a massive hit. The collision after which Burrow shook up was a blindside hit on him. The scary contact came during his attempt to tackle a UCF player following an interception.

Burrow was taken down by Evans because of a lack of awareness from the QB of his surroundings. The UCF Knights’ LB got flagged for taunting Burrow after the play. But it seems the flags for the LB didn’t end there. He gets reminded how it only spurred Burrow and LSU Tigers to roar back into the game. Burrow ended up throwing 21 of his 34 passes for 394 yards and 4 TDs.

LSU fans have also not been kind to the Knights’ LB. He receives ample reminders of how he woke up a sleeping giant in Burrow on that day. Returning to the present, Burrow will hope for the Rams to tick him off in the Super Bowl. There is no other place where Burrow will not be finding additional reasons to get motivated.
