Deion Sanders, also known as ‘Coach Prime’, took over as the head coach for the Buffs last year in December 2022. Another big name that came in for a surprise visit was a former defensive tackle, who ignited the team’s spirit with some impactful motivational speech during the training session of the collegiate team ahead of a TCU match-up.
But what exactly did the 50-year-old former athlete say to boost the team’s morale? After the team’s revolutionary move to the Big-12, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player’s presence came as another dose of adrenaline rush for Deion Sanders’ promising college football team.
Warren Sapp ignites the team spirit!

Warren Sapp is known for revolutionizing the Defensive tackle position and has gained a fair share of experience in the game. When he came to the center to address Deion Sanders’ team, his words certainly echoed across the training field. The video was shared by Deion Sanders on his official Instagram account.

In the video, Warren Sapp was heard saying to the team, “I came to Colorado for one thing. I seen the damn shirt say ‘we coming’, I see y’all. We gonna put in the work, right? We ready to put in the work, right?”To which the athletes affirmed, “Yes Sir!”, in their utmost confidence.
Warren continued, “All right, then. Let’s give me one right here. Let’s go to work. Let’s dominate on 3. 1..2..3…Dominate!” After this quick motivation by Coach Sapp, the team dispersed to the field for training. The team was left inspired by these wise words. Warren Sapp came at the right time as the collegiate team gears up for its upcoming battle against the TCU Horned Frogs.

Expectations are high for CU Buffs!
With this in 2023, expectations are skyrocketing for the Buffaloes despite their 1-11 record in the last season. The Colorado Buffaloes face the Horned Frogs at Fort Worth in Texas, on the 2nd of September at 9:00 a.m. (PST). This game will definitely throw some light on how effective the coaching sessions have been for the CU Buffs.
Head Coach Deion Sanders, known for his inspiring messages, along with Warren Sapp, are two firm believers of the Colorado football team and will continue to coach and motivate them.
