It’s been 11 months since the Seattle Seahawks last played their divisional rivals, the Los Angeles Rams. The last time these 2 teams met in the league, it was the latter who had the last laugh with a convincing 28-12 win in December 2019. Prior to that, Russell Wilson and Co. put up a strong display in the 30-29 win over the Rams in October last year.

There were a number of plot-twists during that feisty encounter at the CenturyLink Field. But none can compare to this epic touchdown pass thrown by Dange’Russ’ Wilson to talented Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett.

Throwback to his epic Russell Wilson – Tyler Lockett TD against the rams

QB Russell Wilson, WR DK Metcalf (who was a rookie back then), WR Tyler Lockett, WR Will Dissly and RB Chris Carson, all starred for the Seahawks as they beat the Rams by the narrowest of margins last season.

But the highlight of the game was this stunning touchdown pass from veteran NFL quarterback to Lockett early on in the first quarter of that game. Wilson made his way out of the pocket and kept his calm under pressure.

He retreated into Seahawks territory to give him a few more seconds to think. He looked up, saw Lockett, and unleashed a trailblazing throw towards his teammate.

To his credit, Lockett did well to hold on to the ball and ensured both his feet hit the ground in the endzone, which resulted in an unbelievable TD and also set the tone for the rest of the game.

The Seahawks have been unstoppable in 2020. A large credit for that is down to the impressive individual displays from their star players. The likes of Russell Wilson, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf and even new boy Jamal Adams, have thrived under Head Coach Pete Carroll.

The Rams host the high-flying Seahawks at the Allegiant Stadium today. Both teams have everything left to play for, with a playoff spot still up for grabs.
