The Bengals had defeated the Chief for the second time this season (first in the regular season, and then in the AFC Championship game). There was celebration all around after this epic win, as the Bengals have made it to the Super Bowl. As tradition dictates, both the losing and winning teams greeted each other after the match, the same was done this time around. During the players greeting, Patrick Mahomes said to Joe Burrow, “Way To Play, Man. Good Luck, My Brother. Go Win It All.”
Burrow contributed with 250 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and one interception, which eventually led to the Bengals’ victory against the Chiefs. Joe Burrow hopes to have a career similar to that of Patty Mahomes. Nevertheless, Joe Burrow has beaten Patty and the Chiefs twice this season, a feat only accomplished by Brady.
Joe Burrow is living the dream
Cincinnati Bengals drafted Joe Burrow in the 2020 NFL Draft as the first overall pick and the young quarterback from Louisiana State University is having a season of his life. Burrow’s stats include 4611 passing yards, 34 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions in the regular season, and is having a stellar postseason.
Joe Burrow’s triumph was all over social media after he won the AFC Championship. LeBron James congratulated Burrow in his king-sized manner with a tweet. Moreover, ‘The Rock‘ Dwayne Johnson shared a hilarious post honoring Joe. In addition, Joe Burrow also told Sportscenter, “One of my idols Kid Cudi reached out to me yesterday. I listen to [him] every gameday.”
