Super Bowl LVI has started with a bang, and Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr. is front and center stage. The wideout connected with QB Matthew Stafford for scoring the first TD of his career in the Super Bowl. It was once again an amazing moment during his start to life in LA. The catch was the perfect moment that displayed all of the abilities OBJ is well known for throughout his career.

The catch meant the Rams get first blood on their home turf in the So-Fi Stadium. It also sets them up nicely while shifting early pressure on the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a 17-yard connection between the QB Stafford and his WR OBJ starting this year’s Super Bowl off in style. The crucial Rams drive was highlighted by a 20-yard completion on 3rd down from Stafford to his WR Cooper Kupp.

With a complete coming together of all his offensive weapons, Stafford has set the Rams up nicely for the rest of the game. He found one of the Rams’ top receiving targets in OBJ who has experienced a career resurgence like no other player.

Odell Beckham Jr. comes up in a big way
The former Browns WR has been electric to start in the game and has already been the outlet for Stafford on almost every drive. A career that has been plagued with injuries and questions about his true potential, OBJ is answering all of them and then some. A below-par tenure in Cleveland that promised a lot, QB Baker Mayfield and OBJ were never on the same wavelength.

But his move to LA has given his career a new lease on life, and he will grab this opportunity with both hands. But there remains a small matter of concern about his health as his left knee buckled during the game. It will be something that the fans will hope is just an accident and nothing causing significant damage. It, unfortunately, comes at a time when he was having a scorcher of a game.

Both fans and broadcasters were unclear about what happened in the play, but OBJ was visibly in some discomfort. He looked in pain and stayed down after the play. The Rams will hope to get him back as soon as possible for the second half while the game is still within their grasp.
