As the camps have been progressing, it is natural to receive interview requests from the reporters, who are eagerly waiting to receive some breaking news from the players. Recently, legendary NBC reporter Peter King interviewed Bills QB, asking him about the team’s overall atmosphere moving ahead in the 2022 season. However, he left Allen embarrassed after denying a handshake after the interview got over.

The 26-year-old is entering the fifth NFL season of his career and has already garnered immense popularity among the fans. In a recent interview, NBC reporter Peter King had a small chat with Josh Allen on camera, speaking about his overall attitude and the ongoing training session. After concluding with a good luck message to the quarterback, Allen offered a handshake to his interviewer.

“Josh Allen, have a great year. Thanks a lot,” said King. However, to everyone’s surprise, King didn’t even budge toward Allen’s gesture and didn’t even look at him. The Bills signal-caller was equally surprised with an “OH!” and a grin on his face. However, he kept hanging his hands for a while until the reporter reverted to his gesture.

After an awkward 5 seconds, Peter King shared his hands. Interestingly, this moment took no time to spread like a wildfire as soon as the interview was broadcasted. Fans were amazed to see the MVP contender of 2022-23 left hanging. Although it seemed to be purely unintentional from King’s side, he later apologized for his actions online.

Post his Monday interview at the Bills training camp, Peter king officially apologized to Josh Allen and appreciated his sportsmanship. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “You know, that was a tad awkward. Sorry for that one, Josh Allen. Thanks for being a good sport.”.

Leading a formidable offensive unit, the Bills quarterback is one of the Super Bowl contenders heading into the season. Moreover, he had also vowed to be the one next February, and it will be interesting to see if he can live up to his words. The first game for the Bills Mafia is on September 9 against the reigning champions Los Angeles Rams.

Although the Bills ended a frustrating season in the divisional round thriller last fall, Josh Allen made a remarkable performance. He threw for 4,407 yards registering 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. The quarterback is expected to stay intact with the Bills through the 2028 season because of the $258 million contract he signed last summer.
