The 266 receiving yards are the most by a rookie in NFL record. Ja’Marr Chase did not know he broke Patrick Mahomes‘ count (259). It baffled the OROY, who discovered his statistical feat during the post-match interview. Chase was so shocked that he sought confirmation from the journalist present.

“Did I? What did he had? I don’t think I did that. Ain’t no way,” Ja’Marr Chase said, stunned. “There’s no way.” After the reporters’ confirmation, the WR quipped, “Did I? Oh, Sh*t! Oh sorry, sorry. Excuse my profanity.”

Bengals’ 34-31 triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs put Ja’Marr Chase in the limelight. With their win over the Chiefs, the Bengals clinched the AFC North and made their first playoff appearance since 2015.
