Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars have endured a tough bag of results in 2021. The former Clemson Tigers quarterback is still hunting for his 1st NFL win under head coach Urban Meyer. The latter has been in the headlines lately for all the wrong reasons.

The former Florida State and OSU coach was recently seen at a local eatery in Cleveland following his team’s latest loss in Week 4. The establishment was owned by Meyer himself. But he was caught in a rather compromising position with an unidentified woman.

While he has gone on to apologize to his players for the same, Jaguars owner Shad Khan claimed that Meyer has to ‘regain our trust’.

Jaguars players see the lighter side of coach Urban Meyer fiasco

There is a lot of flak being dished out at Urban Meyer and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Not just for their failure to get results on the football field but also their off-field controversies.

After coach Meyer’s latest antics, the Jaguars have been reduced to a laughing stock in the NFL. But apparently, no one sees this better than the players themselves.

During a recent practice session in the build-up to Week 5, Jags players were seen huddled up and ready to go. But right before they could disperse they all yelled out ‘grind’ in unison. This was done in reference to the recent event involving Meyer and a woman at an eatery in Ohio.

The Jaguars have no time to sit back and dwell on this. Following the loss to Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, Lawrence and Co. will take go up against the Tennessee Titans this weekend.

Coach Meyer and his team are in dire need of a win. Maybes this unfortunate occurring will help bring the team closer. Well, maybe not.
