Although the US is caught in the COVID-19’s clutches, it hasn’t stopped NFL players from preparing for the new season. Among them are Seattle Seahawks players Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf.

Earlier, videos did the rounds on social media of the Seahawks’ quarterback and wide receiver training together. This is quite a common practice for the 31-year-old Wilson, as he often invites teammates to California for practice.

Speaking to the News Tribune last year, he said, “Yeah, we throw a bunch of routes. I think one part of it is just spending time with each other. And that’s always the fun part.

“I think also, too, is just really trying to perfect our craft. It’s just like guys in the NBA, you know, offseason they’re shooting around playing with each other, working together and everything else. Just trying to understand what we’re trying to see and what we’re trying to think about … just like anything.”

How are Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf training during these difficult times?

Owing to the rampant pandemic, the NFL canned all team activities and minicamps. To work around this, Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf improvised with their own private session.

As evidenced in the video, both Wilson and Metcalf followed social distancing norms during their session. In addition to that, they were the only two players in the video. However, the duo pulled off some acrobatic stunts during their workouts and had plenty of fun.

As a whole, Metcalf is quite well built and is also a speedy player. Unfortunately, there have been plenty of concerns about his lengthy injury history. Obviously, this intimidated plenty of suitors, and the Seattle Seahawks are thankful for that. The good news is that he seems to have worked past the spate of injuries, and the 21-year-old is flourishing under Russell Wilson.
