The Giants could not afford to miss their crucial piece. Wan’Dale Robinson is officially locked into the 53-player roster. The 22-year-old receiver is slated to catch passes from $160 million worth starting QB Daniel Jones and is back in action after almost nine months. Just days ago, the team activated the second-year receiver from the physically unable to perform list, as a result of a torn ACL injury he suffered last season.
While there is still haze around whether Robinson will hit the field for the opening game on September 10, the determined WR has his eyes set on nothing less than giving his absolute best for the team.

The talented WR is emerging from a mere nine months after undergoing knee surgery. The 22-year-old had quite the journey and was nabbed as the 43rd overall pick in the second-round selection of the Giants in the 2022 NFL draft out of Kentucky. His rookie year was cut short when he sustained an injury in the team’s Week 11 loss to the Detroit Lions. He also battled with knee and hamstring issues, making matters worse. Robinson had to undergo knee surgery and was limited to just six games that season.
After the successful operation back in December, Robinson is geared up for his fresh start. Displaying his determination, the WR got a tattoo on his surgically repaired knee, commemorating his recovery journey.

The design features the stairway to heaven after the iconic album cover of the eponymous classic by the rock sensation Led Zeppelin. While the stairway refers to the steps, the WR is taking toward recovery, it also sports a clock that is set to 12.13, the date of his surgery on 13 December.
Haze around Robinson’s availability
While the player is fresh off the recovery, there is still uncertainty surrounding his availability for the first game. However, the devised plan is to participate in the individual drills, assess his performance, and accordingly determine the next steps.

Robinson is up for any week who solely wants to amp up his team’s performance.
“At the end of the day I just want to help this football team win,’’ Robinson said. “Whether that’s Week 1 and I feel comfortable out there or Week 2 or Week 3, whenever that may be. I’m hoping for Week 1 but just want to help the team win.’’
