The time is closing in for Aaron Rodgers to decide his future in the league. Does he want to return to the Green Bay Packers to live out his contract? Or is No 12 heading to the AFC? There is also the possibility of retirement. And the NFL world is holding its breath for Aaron to start his ‘darkness retreat’.
The 4x NFL MVP announced on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, a few weeks ago, that he will decide on his NFL journey after the Super Bowl. And he will do the necessary self-reflection in isolation. Ian Rapoport joined the McAfee crew this week. And the NFL insider shed some light on the retreat details.

New darkness retreat updates from Ian Rapoport
Pat McAfee raised the all-important question on Monday. “Aaron Rodgers going into his darkness retreat starting today? What else do you know,” the former Colts punter asked Ian Rapoport. The retreat is supposedly scheduled from Monday to Thursday this week. However, Rapoport sees some complications with that plan.
“I saw that he is coming on your show Tuesday, which is tomorrow. So maybe he is doing your show from the darkness,” Ian said about Aaron Rodgers appearing on McAfee’s show. “Or perhaps he is delaying the darkness for a day or so. The timeline is clear, but I was told imminent darkness is coming,” he added.
Aaron doing the interview in complete darkness would be epic!!!!

Please let them be both right somehow. We need Aaron showing up with a blindfold on or calling in from a dark room.

Just hope he doesn't injure his shoulder in his darkness retreat like UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka did in his darkness retreat.

Some A-Rod fans patiently stood by his decision. However, the majority cannot wait for the 2010 Super Bowl MVP to elect his future in the NFL. “Nobody in my inner circle talks to those people [Ian Rapoport, Adam Schefter, etc.] Listen, I’m doing the darkness retreat later this week,” Rodgers clarified on his Tuesday appearance of the Pat McAfee Show.
What are the current options for Aaron Rodgers?
Aaron laid out a lot of conditions after the Packers’ season ended for him to return to the organization for another year. However, the Packers can potentially decide to rebuild with Jordan Love. Especially since A-Rod announced how much he is against the idea of a rebuild.

Since his potential availability, the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders have both expressed an interest in acquiring the 39-year-old’s expertise in the pocket. The Jets have employed various tactics, including current and former Jets legends, making it too tempting for Rodgers.
However, Aaron’s former WR #1 Davante Adams is also without a quarterback after Derek Carr officially ended things with the Raiders. And Adams already tweeted that Aaron Rodgers is about to become his new neighbor.
