Earlier this week, the three-time Pro Bowler made a half promise on social media that he would choose between the teams that win the season opener. Although, it seems that he was more hopeful about the Rams. However, the results went the other way.
After the clash, his long-time buddy Von Miller asked OBJ to keep his promise since the linebacker was busy recruiting the wideout the entire offseason. “I mean he said whoever won this game, that’s where he was gonna go,” Miller said after the win Thursday night.

“There’s the truth behind every joke. We just gotta see. He was a huge part of our success last year (in Los Angeles). Whenever he gets healthy, I’m sure there’s a lot of teams that will be wanting him.” He added.
Last season, Miller accompanied OBJ in playing a pivotal role in winning the championship. The veteran wants to continue this partnership, but this time it would be the Bills Mafia of OBJ who might decide to go with Josh Allen. Ahead of the game, OBJ was holding the Lombardi trophy and the championship banner as he was part of the Super Bowl game.

Moreover, the Rams have been desperately giving hints to him. They have dedicated a separate locker for the wide receiver with his name on it. And at several instances, both teams equally expressed their interest in recruiting the wide receiver.
The Bills’ general manager clarifies his intentions on Odell Beckham Jr.
As soon as the practice session began, all eyes were on OBJ and his next landing spot. While Miller was trying his best to recruit his former mate, Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane mentioned that various factors have to be considered before making a decision.

“He’s a talented player. Show me a talented player I’m not checking into.” Beane said about OBJ. “I’m always going to do that and whether that is a trade for someone or letting a guy get healthy. Again, the cap factors into it too,” he added.

The Bills are already staggering for making cap adjustments, and they have only $3.5 million in their purse. Thus, going for OBJ is a hard call, at this point, as the veteran won’t come easy. However, he is not expected to return ahead of October. A fair amount of time is left for the franchise to make a wise decision.
