Everyone is aware of the skill set of the linebacker, Von Miller. The Buffalo Bills would not want to trade him under any circumstance. However, he almost joined the Dallas Cowboys before signing a six-year deal with the Bills. The LB called his old friend and Cowboys defensive great, DeMarcus Ware, inquiring about a position at the Cowboys.

Both Ware and Miller played together for three years with the Denver Broncos. Consequently, they won a Super Bowl in the 2016 season as well. As per DeMarcus, Von was keen to join Dallas to return to where he was born and raised. In an exciting phone call, the LB inquired about inside information about the team in hopes of approaching the front office for a potential offer.

Moreover, Miller looked to make a solid comeback after playing just one season after his injury. In 2021, Miller recorded 9.5 sacks in 15 games. In addition, he got four sacks in four playoff games. As a result, he helped the LA Rams win the Super Bowl LVI. This performance highlighted Von’s ability to make promising comebacks.

The Cowboys wouldn’t have been able to afford Von due to Ware’s $14 million salary cap. However, adding him to the defense lineup could have become a game-changer for the Cowboys. They finished 12-5 in the 2021 season.
