Peyton Manning and Tom Brady shared what was arguably the greatest quarterback rivalry of all time. Two modern-day legends of the sport, Brady and Manning faced off countless times in the past to put on some all-time classic encounters.
Brady was instrumental in helping the New England Patriots establish arguably the greatest dynasty in the NFL. But time and again, he and his side were thwarted by Peyton Manning.

Be it during his time with the Indianapolis Colts or his late-career renaissance with the Denver Broncos, Manning was Brady’s fiercest rival on the field. But after Manning retired in 2015, the rivalry gave way to friendship.
Even during their time on the field, the two shared a mutual bond of respect and admiration for each others craft. And that admiration was there for all to see when Tom Brady made the trip to Canton, Ohio to be there for Manning’s enshrinement into the Pro Football of Fame.

Appreciative of Brady’s gesture, Peyton Manning ensured that his former rival sat in his section during the ceremony. Brady might have felt a little out of place sitting among former Indianapolis Colts stars who he took on numerous occasions in the past.

In the middle of a speech that left the world stunned, Peyton Manning ensured that he took some time out to crack a little joke at the expense of Tom Brady.
“Next year, acceptance speeches will probably shrink to four minutes,” Manning said jokingly lamenting the shortened window of six minutes for induction speeches at this year’s ceremony. “

And speaking of rivals, my good friend Tom Brady is here tonight, and by the time he is inducted, in his first year of eligibility in the year 2035, he’ll only have time to post his acceptance speech on his Instagram account,” he added as the crowd gave way to laughs.

With the current eligibility to be inducted into the Hall of Fame requiring players and coaches to have retired for at least five years, Manning hinted at Brady being around in the NFL till 2030!
But hey, when it comes to Tom Brady, one can never be too sure.
