The 33rd edition of the American century championship winded up on a high note. Former NFL star Tony Romo clinching his third title. The celebrity golf tournament was graced by the presence of some exemplary talented sportsmen, including the NBA Star Steph Curry and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Although the tournament didn’t go well, the duo kept their spirits high with some on-field antics. The one that caught the most attention was Patrick Mahomes’ attempt to recreate Curry’s style on the golf course.

The Chiefs quarterback, who also happens to be a basketball player, went for a Three-Pointer in the break time. To everyone’s surprise, the ball perfectly penetrated the basket, and Mahomes instantly started celebrating with Steph Curry’s signature style after taking a shot. Watching Mahomes imitating the Golden State star thrilled the audience present at the event.

Although the NBA star began well in the first round with a 16-point bash, settling for a 10th spot, Mahomes, however, finished 52nd in the first round itself.
Interestingly, this is the third time Mahomes is participating in the event. Star Tight End Travis Kelce accompanied him. Other NFL stars who played in the tournament included Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, Bills signal-caller Josh Allen, and Raiders Derek Carr. Veterans like Marcus Allen, Jerome Bettis, and Tim Brown were few to represent the NFL in the amateur golf tournament.
This is the second golf match for Mahomes in the past two months. The last time he featured in a charity exhibition event was on June 1, which he lost against the partnership of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
Steph Curry praises Patrick Mahomes and his style of play
While speaking to the press, Steph Curry encountered a question to comment on Mahomes and his game on the football field. The four-time NBA champion was all in to heap praises for the QB. He vowed to admire his skills and risk-taking abilities, something which Curry follows inside the court.

“The blend of what you can teach and the intangibles. He’s just got such a great feel, great awareness, and a flair for the dramatic. He likes to take chances. I love that style. The same kind of way that I play.” Curry said. “There’s a lot of respect and admiration for what he can do on the field. And I’m sure it goes the same way for what I can do on the court, too.” he added.

Last month Curry was entitled a one more NBA ring to his name. And now it’s time for Mahomes to flex his muscles on the football field. With the training camps set to begin, it will be interesting to see how things move for the Chiefs in the upcoming season.
