The 2022 NFL Scouting Combine has become a stage for prospects like Georgia Bulldogs’ RB James Cook to give a proper account of themselves. He did record an impressive 4.42 seconds 40-yard dash. It was notably faster than his brother and Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook, who recorded officially a 4.50 seconds dash in 2017. Apart from running a 4.42-second dash, the promising prospect also jumped a 10-foot-4 in the broad jump drill and 33 inches in the vertical drill. James also looked very smooth in his runs, showing quick feet and the explosion he showed during his explosive senior year with Georgia.

The best takeaways about his attributes are going to be his contributions in the passing game, and he was showing them during their on-field drills.

It seems the sibling rivalry between both James and Dalvin spurred him on to one of his best seasons in college and at the NFL Combine. He had his most productive collegiate season in 2021 as on 113 carries, he rushed for 728 yards and seven touchdowns. He also made contributions as a receiver on 27 receptions, with 284 yards and 4 TDs.
