For now, temporarily, we can put the trade rumors to bed. Aaron Rodgers is back in Green Bay. After months of speculation surrounding his future with the franchise, the quarterback turned up to Lambeau Field to report for the first day of training camp.

Since news had first broken out about his desire to leave the franchise on draft night, Rodgers had kept his cards close to himself. Not disclosing to anyone whether or not he had plans to put on the Packers uniform again, the QB let his actions do the talking by skipping his side’s OTAs and minicamp.

But now after months of drama which could be compared to that of a primetime soap opera, the quarterback is back. And in typical nonchalant fashion.

Aaron Rodgers back to training with Green Bay Packers

In a picture that would put a smile on every Green Bay Packers fans’ face, Aaron Rodgers was spotted strolling into Lambeau Field wearing a t-shirt of hit US sitcom, The Office.

Just another cryptic way of letting the world know that it’s business as usual at Green Bay? Perhaps so. TV crews and photographers have been following Rodgers’ every step ever since his flight landed at Green Bay.

With shades on and without a care in the world, Aaron Rodgers’ arrival at Lambeau Field confirmed that he’s going to remain a Packer. For at least one more season.

According to reports, the Packers front office had to go to desperate lengths to convince Aaron Rodgers to return for the 2021 NFL season.

Some of the clauses of the apparent new deal struck between the two parties will see the 2023 year in Rodgers’ contract voided. Making him a free agent at the end of the season, the quarterback has also reportedly added a clause which will see the Packers lose the right to place the franchise tag on him in the future.

All this points at Aaron Rodgers leaving Green Bay at the end of the season. But atleast for one last season, Packers fans will get to see their #12 line up under center in hopes of guiding them to a Super Bowl.
