To get over depression, self-care and indulging in various activities worked well to maintain a peaceful mind and heart. Bundchen explained how engaging in things she likes to do helped her through her tough times. Not to mention, the tough times she spoke of were extremely grueling to get through.

Last Friday in NYC, the 43-year-old Supermodel sat down with PEOPLE to open up about her difficult times, including how she managed to navigate through it all. She talked about homeschooling her children for three years, ditching alcohol, and practicing meditation to help herself through challenging times.
Gisele had suffered from unbearable panic attacks, anxiety, and depression while in her 20s. As painful as it gets, she had to face a repeat of the wrenching pain in the last few years.
In the midst of dealing with her ailing parents during the years of her married life, Gisele also had to move to Tampa Bay with her family for Brady. She expressed, “It’s been very tough on my family. It’s been a lot — in every area of my life. I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can, given what happens in our surroundings.”
However, the super lady never gave up and strived to stay strong for herself and her family. Involving herself in numerous activities, she was finally able to transform her lifestyle into a satisfying one. Bundchen in fact detailed everything she indulged in.
