In shocking news, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett suffered a horrific car crash on Monday afternoon. After the accident, he was taken to the hospital immediately and is currently out of danger.

Garrett’s agent, Nicole Lynn, posted on Twitter regarding the player’s injury. According to her, the extent of the injuries is still unknown, as they are trying to get more information. It is worth noting that Myles Garrett was driving a Porsche and the condition of the car was not very great.

Myles Garrett is ‘alert and responsive’ after the horrific car accident

Earlier, Nicole Lynn posted a statement on Twitter informing everyone of the unfortunate news about the athlete.

 

The incident took place in Ohio, as the Ohio State Highway Patrol was trying to figure out the cause of the accident. According to them, there were no drugs or alcohol and both the passengers were wearing seatbelts. Reportedly, one eyewitness saw the whole incident and helped Garrett and his fellow passenger out of the car. The witness also claimed that Garrett was bleeding from his knee and chest area.

Despite Lynn’s tweet, there is still uncertainty over the extent of Garrett’s injury and he could be out for a long time. Fans hope that the DE is healthy and will be back on the field in no time.

Garrett helped Cleveland in a strong start to the season

The Browns started this season by winning a close match against the Panthers, and then, they lost a close match against the Bears. Last Friday, they beat the Steelers to win their second game of the season.

Cleveland picked Garrett in the 2017 NFL Draft as the first overall pick. He has been an important part of the defensive line. The 2022-23 season is his sixth season with the Cleveland side. During his tenure as a Cleveland player, he has been selected twice as an ALL-Pro.

Safe to say, Garrett helped his team massively to get back to winning ways; he had three sacks in the first three games of the season. In the Week 4 matchup, they will face the Falcons on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if Garrett plays the game after such a horrible car accident.
