Wide Receiver Van Jefferson is observing the best season of his career as the LA Rams are triumphant in the LVI Super Bowl. On top of that, he and his wife Samaira are now endowed with a baby boy, going by the name of ‘Champ.’

Samaira was present at the SoFi Stadium to see her husband in the playoffs. However, during the fourth quarter, she went into labor and was taken to the hospital. She made sure that Van shouldn’t be informed if the baby arrives during the game.

The athlete sat down with Host Adam Schefter on ESPN’s The Adam Schefter Podcast, where he reveals he couldn’t make it to the hospital because of the hefty traffic crowd; and he watched his newborn baby on FaceTime.

He said that “So she was having the baby in Thousand Oaks; She wasn’t having it there like locally right there in LA, so I had to drive like an hour and 30 minutes to the birthing center.

Yes! Do you know how bad the traffic is in LA? Especially at the Super Bowl? Like we were literally stuck in traffic. So I had to watch the birth of my son over Facetime.”

Von’s Crazy FaceTime Struggle

Schefter asked Jefferson regarding the birthing experience over FaceTime, to which he called being a crazy one. He brings up that someone face timed him and he panics when he sees the glimpse at first, and hung up the call in an instant.
