In a major move, NFL confirmed they’ll present the Pro Bowl 2023 in a different avatar. The new event features week-long skill competitions and a flag football game. These changes are a part of the 2023 Games to be held in Las Vegas. A flag football game will also take place at Allegiant Stadium on February 5.
NFL HOF-er Peyton Manning and his production company will shape the event. The program has been renamed ‘The Pro Bowl Games‘. AFC and NFC players will present their football and non-football skills in the games. The new decision has evoked a positive reaction from NFL fans.

A user said this change was long overdue.
This was long overdue. It was never really a football game anyway. Nobody really wanted to play in it. It was not fun to watch. About time.

A fan feels it is a step in the right direction.
About time. NBA should follow suit

A user thinks fans should be allowed to play in flag football games.
They should let a few fans play in flag football game. Even if it’s for like a few plays. Think that would be cool idea

Another fan suggests bringing in sporting greats across the game.
Go a step further, bring in guys like Bolt, Phelps. Compete against the best in the NFL but also the best retired greats in the sport.

NFL and the story of the Pro Bowl
The Pro Bowl debuted in January 1951, in Los Angeles. It stayed in LA for 21 seasons. The game was played in different cities from 1972 to 1980. After this, Hawaii became the host of the key event from 1980 to 2009. Miami, Phoenix, Orlando, and Las Vegas were its home in recent times.
Most of the players treat these games as an exhibition. They fear getting hurt. As a result, the game has less excitement and buzz, complains football fans. However, a flag football game avoids injuries to a great extent. It also entertains and increases competition. Several users tweeted about flag football after the news broke out.
A fan thinks the Pro Bowl game was a joke.
Good. The pro-bowl is a joke. I like the idea of seeing the best of the best compete against each other in individual skills.

A user said the Pro Bowl game died because of the players.
The Pro Bowl died like the Playoff Bowl did–not because the fans didn't care, but because the players didn't.

Another user said he didn’t watch Pro Bowl since 1998.
RIP to the pre bag gnome. .. oops .. I had forgotten the name as I haven’t watched it since 1998.

Another fan thinks the Pro Bowl Game would bring more entertainment.
This is great. More entertaining for the fans and removes a farce of a game that few watch. Now maybe the SB pro bowlers will go and take part in limited activities so we don’t have 10 pro bowl QBs per year

A user said he will definitely miss the roster debates.
Will there still be a "Pro Bowl roster" or something similar? Shame to lose those roster debates.
