It seems like Tom Brady cannot drink a glass of water without breaking a record. The NFL history books are going to be filled by only his name. Recently the GOAT has broken another longevity record in the NFC South division.

Brady has only stayed in the NFC South for two seasons, and he is preparing for his third. Since he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, the quarterback has made his division his new home. Tom Brady just does not defeat his opponents. He owns them. That is the reason why he won the Super Bowl in his first season in Florida. A mind like Brady is rare in sports. 

Tom Brady becomes the longest-tenured starting quarterback in the NFC South

The NFC South is a tough division. It has some of the most hard-hitting matchups during the regular season. There are four teams in this division. They are The Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers, the New Orleans Saints, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Recently, The Athletic’s Greg Auman broke the news about Tom Brady breaking another record. The GOAT jumped ship from the New England Patriots to the Buccaneers in 2020. The move seems to have rejuvenated his career. Brady has never looked better. Yesterday, Auman tweeted, “End of 2019, Jameis Winston was a five-year starter in Tampa and the least entrenched QB in the NFC South. Today, Tom Brady is entering his third year and is the longest-tenured starting QB (with his team) in the division.”

In just three seasons, Brady has become the longest-tenured, starting in the NFC South division. His next season at the Bay is sure to be action-packed. The Buccaneers are the favorites to win the division next year. 

Current situation of NFC South

The face of the NFC South division has changed drastically in the past few days. Especially at the quarterback position. It seemed like some teams had a sigh of relief when Tom Brady retired. But it did not last long because the GOAT is back.

The division has seen some great quarterbacks like Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady. But now, only one of those names remains. Brees announced his retirement last season.
