Rodgers has been playing through a thumb injury for weeks now. The oblique muscle injury he got in week 12 threatened to end his season. But he took the field against the Bears, regardless, and won.

Aaron Rodgers injury update
After the Packers ended a two-game losing streak to put their fifth win of the season on the board. The win over the Bears also keeps them alive in the playoff race. But the major concern in every fan’s mind is the status of the injuries that have plagued Aaron Rodgers. So naturally, the question came up in the post-game press conference after the win. “Yeah, I think my thumb is close to being a non-issue. I am able to go back to taking the snap the old way, which is really nice. And the ribs will be close probably,” Rodgers responded.
This will be music to the ears of all the Rodgers and Green Bay fans out there. If the iconic QB can leave his injury concerns behind him when he comes back from the bye week, the Packers can hope to continue to push for a place in the playoffs.
Playing through the injuries
Aaron Rodgers has been playing through big injuries for almost the entire season till now. He sustained a major thumb injury in the week five loss to the New York Giants in London. But neither the player nor the team disclosed the injury till recently. Rodgers taped up his thumb and played through the pain.

If that wasn’t enough, he got an oblique muscle injury in the ribs in the week 11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Rodgers left the field in the third quarter of the game. Backup quarterback Jordan Love replaced him for the remainder of that game and impressed quite a lot. After the Eagles clash, many suspected that Rodgers’ season was over. But he is Aaron Rodgers. No injury seems to be able to keep him off the field. He came in for the Bears game and posted a touchdown without an interception.
