Sunday had a roaring AFC Divisional Playoff rematch at Paul Brown Stadium. The Chiefs took on the Bengals, where Patrick Mahomes and company sought to avenge their loss. But that did not happen, as Kansas City defeated Cin City in a sweep. But Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase had enhanced motivation after a Chiefs athlete’s off-field trash talk, and they deflated them.

As expected, the Chiefs-Bengals game didn’t disappoint. However, Kansas City had a similar scene to what they had in the 2021–22 AFC playoff game. The Bengals defeated the Chiefs in Week 13. Quarterback Joe Burrow led the charge and selected the victorious sweep. But he and his prime target, Ja’Marr Chase, were inspired by Chiefs safety Justin Reid, who was under fire for his remarks regarding WR Tee Higgins.
Joe Burrow is Ice Cold!
During his post-game press conference, the reporters asked Joe Burrow about safety Justin Reid’s comments about the Bengals wideout. In rebuttal, the cool quarterback made a savage remark. As per ESPN’s Ben Baby, the QB1 mentioned, “I would have cared a lot more if he knew what he was talking about.”

Burrow’s response came after Justin Reid called out the Bengals’ Tee Higgins for being a talented receiver but not the best blocker. The Chiefs’ safety added that he would lock him down in the game. However, his comments ended on a rather sour note.

The Chiefs are a formidable team and have lived up to expectations. Patrick Mahomes and company have had spectacular games and have a golden chance to make it into the playoffs. However, they would encounter the Bengals on their way to the Lombardi Trophy.

While Joe Burrow had a savage response to Justin Reid’s statements, Ja’Marr Chase did not hold back either. Tee Higgins blitzed his way to a 14-3 lead over the Chiefs after catching a short touchdown pass early in the second quarter. After the moment, the star WR seemingly made it rain over the Bengals’ defense.

After the Higgins score, Ja’Marr Chase taunted the opposing defense and made a gesture of throwing out fake money. Additionally, the Bengals had the last laugh in the game. But Chase sustained a penalty for his actions, which he may not regret.
