It’s been nearly ten months since the golden couple parted ways. A blissful marriage of two powerhouses, the split of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen came as a surprise to the fans in late October last year. It still leaves a sour spot in many hearts as the couple reflected nothing but a beautiful ever-after.

It was a star-crossed alliance as Brady, a Leo, and Bundchen, a Cancer, crossed paths on a blind date back in 2006, as the star pairing is generally not dubbed an exciting match. Apart from the incompatibility of their star signs, did the cosmic forces foresee the couple’s split?

A bad luck charm that foresaw the split?

The number 13 has never had a good rep. Even though it lacks any solid science, the number is considered a bad luck charm. And in the case of the golden couple, ’13’ appeared even more devious. Apart from the incompatibility of their zodiacs, the couple shares a 13-year-old gap between their birthdays with Bundchen born on July 20 and Brady on August 3.

As the couple were heading to their 13-year mark, marriage rumors about the simmering tensions between the couple began to rear its head. The popular speculations mused Brady’s obsession with his career as he failed to balance his family evidenced by his return to the gridiron just 40 days after his retirement,  when Bundchen retired from the runway in 2015, entirely dedicating her time to her family and children.

One could make the case, that the dreaded number oddly seemed to hang around like a bad omen over the power couple which ultimately shattered their ever-after. An avid believer in astrology and good omens, is Bundchen gonna buy their marriage ended after hitting the ill-fated number? or any number for that matter?

Did a number play the part?

Despite the coincidence of 13, Gisele has brushed off all the rumors about their marriage. The model has opened up about it several times, waiving off such speculation as ‘crazy’ and ‘hurtful’’. In a candid Vanity Fair, Bundchen stated how the end of their marriage wasn’t an ill fate, but rather a conscious decision when they realized it was time to take different paths.

 “Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart. When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make. That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person”.

As the duo demonstrated a beautiful marriage and graceful parting, their split could be far from a cosmic curse but a perfect culmination of a beautiful story.
