The Buccaneers seemed destined to fall to a 5-7 record with no touchdown till the end of the third quarter. The team trailed the Saints 16-3 with five minutes to go in the fourth. The stage was set.
Tom Brady improves playoff chances

Tom Brady scored two passing touchdowns in the dying moments to get the score to 17-16 and handed the Buccaneers their sixth victory of the season. With a 6-6 record, the Buccaneers are well set to win the division to get into the playoffs. That eighth ring is still very much on.

Brady threw a total of 281 yards of passing in the game with 36 pass completions. The New Orleans defense did intercept one of his 54 pass attempts. That was just the third interception for the Bucs’ QB this season.

The Buccaneers are at the top of the NFC South divisional table. They were at the summit before. But the win against the Saints gives the Tampa-based franchise some breathing room over the Atlanta Falcons.
