It is speculated that the former Kansas City Chiefs’ safety is a hot target for many speed-hungry clubs in the league.

Maxx Crosby was next on the line who bagged a hefty contract extension for a four-year $98.98 million contract with the Raiders. And while he is enjoying his fortune, Crosby shared a funny tweet with the caption, “Fun Fact Of The Day… Honey Badgers Are Silver & Black”.

As soon as the tweet went viral, netizens were quick to hop into the discussion. Tyrann Mathieu is the next free agent, who is simmering to get a deal, and the Raiders are the most probable team to approach him. And there are many reasons to justify the prediction.

Currently, Raiders are running with a young safety and Mathieu’s presence could help the team strengthen their loose ends. Moreover, Mathieu is a center fielder who relies on his instincts to make plays all over the field, and the Raiders need an experienced player to cover up for the mistakes.

What makes Mathieu so significant?

Mathieu is considered one of the top-tier safeties in the league. He has been a disruptor his entire career and played some of his best games with the Kansas City Chiefs in the last three seasons.

Tyreek Hill, who got a deal recently, was Mathieu’s go-to buddy. Their combination often created a bang on the field. While Hill’s deal got confirmed, everyone thought Mathieu is next on the Dolphin’s list, but so far nothing has changed. He remains a free agent. Given the Raiders will face some genuine threats, such as Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes in their 6 games this season, they will require all the defensive back help to win the games this season.
