Tyreek Hill has been the subject of elite athleticism and is prone to excelling at sports other than football. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver is all set to display his rapidness and quickness over the course of this week. Hill is all set to enter and compete in a feat which happens to be his best skill. But will he triuph in a sport that is not football?
Having successfully established himself as one of the ‘quickest’ wide receivers in the game, his speed and acceleration have been some of the defining assets throughout his illustrious career, earning the moniker ‘Cheetah’. Hill is however all too familiar with the ‘track’, having competed vigorously during his younger days.

Tyreek Hill is all set to make his return to the sport of ‘endurance and speed’, by entering in 60 meter dash at today’s USA track. Hill is expected to lace his running shoes for the first time since 2014. As it currently stands, he is on the entry list to race in the 25-29 age division.

But Hill could be the wildcard that many expect him to be. He earlier took to the internet to share his views on his return, “Poetry in motion, felt good to put the spikes back on !!!” he wrote alongside a video of him practicing a block start on a track.
Hill has always been in awe of sprinting and even alluded to trying and join the US Olympic track and field team back in 2020, the same year he was in contention for a Super Bowl.
Hill’s love for the game can be dated back to his childhood days, as the man ran the 200 meter in 20.14 seconds at age 18, earning him the sixth rank in the entire nation. ‘The Cheetah’ even went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Trials but instead played at the junior nationals and the world junior championships instead.
Eventually, Hill recognized that his speed could be used in a different sport as well, and turned to football for solace.
Is Hill’s reputation at stake?

‘The Cheetah’ embodies one of Tyreek Hill’s most sought-after weapons. But he is not the first NFL player to put it to the test. Seattle Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf put up a serious feat as he ran a 10.37-second 100-meter dash back in 2021.
Even though these results might seem impressive (and yes they are), Metcalf happened to finish dead last among his group. And although his competitors weren’t Olympic-level athletes, they didn’t roll over.
It should be noted that both Hill and Metcalf were in conversation for the fastest player in the league at one point in time. So, what would defeat mean for Hill? Could that be a blemish on his reputation?

While many consider Hill to dominate the event, there is a good chance that ‘Cheetah’ just might end up regretting this choice.
