Devon Allen is making a strong claim as the fastest player in the league, backed by his outstanding track record. He’s aware of other impressive players but believes there’s a notable gap in performance at the highest level. Devon’s return to football after a long track-focused break presented new challenges, but he’s now embracing the intensity of the NFL.

The Eagles Receiver, recently showed impressive speed in running the 110-meter hurdles, ranking fourth overall. However, Devon faces a challenge because his exceptional speed doesn’t necessarily translate to strong football skills. Despite his talent, he hasn’t secured a spot on a 53-man roster, and he’s already 28 years old. It’s important to note that Allen chose to step away from football for a while, but now he’s making a deliberate effort to return to the sport.

28-year-old wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles has a bold claim: “I definitely am [the fastest],” Devon Allen is the fastest player in the NFL, told TMZ Sports. Devon is not intimidated by the likes of Tyreek Hill and DK Metcalf, well known for their speed and dominance on the field. Devon thinks he can beat them in a race, and he has the credentials to back it up.

He couldn’t resist dropping a bombshell, said: “DK Metcalf ran a 10.3 a couple years ago is super impressive for a guy that’s 6’4″, 6’3″, 225, but I think especially at the top level, top 5, top 10 in the world, there’s a big gap in terms of just performance.”

Former Oregon track star and a two-time Olympian in the 110m hurdles, Devon ran the event in 12.84 seconds, which is very close to the world record of 12.80. He took a six-year hiatus from football to focus on his track career, but he decided to return to the sport he loves. He signed with the Eagles and has been adjusting to the NFL ever since.
