Ever since Tua Tagovailoa incurred a scary concussion in Week 4, the Miami Dolphins have been losing their offensive strength, with most of the A-category athletes being included in the injured list. Recently, the elite wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were speculated to miss the upcoming game on Sunday.

Teddy Bridgewater will now lead the offensive unit in Tagovailoa’s absence. However, the 29-year-old backup might have a hard time starting the game against the Jets because the wide receiver corps looks fragile, especially after the situation of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were questionable. Meanwhile, Tagovailoa, who experienced a concussion after hitting the turf against the Bengals, is on a tour seeing various specialists checking his stability.

Head coach Mike McDaniel clarified his intentions and affirmed the team had no plans to put him on the injured reserve. However, there is no fixed date for his return or future aspirations in the league. Till then, Bridgewater is now the man in the arena.

“We’ll just take it from there, but happy that he’s, you know, you get to see him every day,” McDaniel said to the reporters speaking about Tagovailoa’s condition. “It’s nice when I walk down the hallway, and I hear, ‘What up, beast?’ which is, for whatever reason, he calls me a beast all the time. I don’t think I give off the beast vibe, but we’ll just take it day by day from there.” he added.

In the current scenario, the Dolphins need to maintain their winning streak. They broke their winning streak last week; however, getting back on track will be their aim to dive deep into the playoffs.

Why were Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle’s presence termed as “questionable”?

The Cheetah was reportedly suffering from a quad injury and Waddle with a groin injury. This kept them away from practice sessions most of the time.

On Wednesday, the duo marked their presence for a limited time and thereafter skipped the camps suffering from the injury. From the defensive side, Xavier Howard was the other entity to miss the game. His injury was similar to that of Waddle, raising concerns over their performance in Week 5.
