The NFL free agency period is always known for dramatic dealings. On Wednesday, Tyrann Mathieu, currently a free agent, sent a cryptic tweet just a few moments after his long-time buddy Tyreek Hill made a lucrative deal with the Miami Dolphins.

In no time, the news became the talk of the town. After a long journey with the Chiefs, it was an abrupt decision by the WR to make his way into a new club. Although it seems like the tweet has nothing to do with Hill, the time at which it appeared raised many eyebrows.

Tyrann Mathieu & his cryptic tweet

Mathieu and Hill were supposed to be the formidable buddies for the Chiefs in their Super Bowl run. However, Mathieu is currently benched as a free agent this season. And hasn’t received a deal from the Chiefs or any other team. The Chief would have roped him with a franchise tag before March 8, but they didn’t do so, leaving him to find a new home to showcase his talents. As soon as Hill made his deal, Mathieu tweeted, “When egos run wild contain yours.

This tweet made spectators presume various possibilities surrounding the deal. Although he could not control his position in the Chiefs, Mathieu might be hinting at Hill, who declined the Chiefs offer and went for a team that paid him more.

Mathieu, the All-pro twice, was signed by the club back in 2019, when Hill was granted an extension for 3 years on a $42 million deal. Approximately both of them were assured with $ 14 million annually.

Tyreek Hill- a phenomenal player

The six-time Pro Bowl star was always an asset for the team. Having started his career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016, Tyreek Hill was piling up his records with his exceptional gameplay. He was the focal point of the City’s offense, making it one of the formidable sides and helping it win the Superbowl under a young QB Patrick Mahomes.

In the past two seasons, he reached more than 1,200 yards and has totaled 1,000-plus yards four times in his entire career. The previous season was one of his successful campaigns, bagging nine touchdowns by himself and covering 1239 yards. As a result, the Chiefs approached him initially to make a deal with him.
