Patrick Mahomes has had an eventful year, to say the least. From his Super Bowl victory to the drunk championship parade and even the family troubles that Mahomes has incurred, it’s safe to say that the QB is ready for football season again. But as focused as he is on returning next season for a title defense, even Patrick Mahomes takes out time to live up the good life. And this time, he is trying something completely different. 

Mahomes’ tumultuous offseason has certainly forced the QB to make some tough private decisions about his family. Even so, Mahomes has not stopped living life as he made several appearances at public events throughout the offseason, most notably at the Kentucky Derby and the Met Gala. But it seems like the Derby gave Mahomes a ton of inspiration to try his own hand at taming a beast of nature.

While Mahomes may not be the strongest or most athletic player in the NFL, the QB is certainly an outstanding athlete. But Mahomes decided to put his capabilities to the test recently after taking on the challenge of taming a massive beast of nature. Well, not exactly a ‘natural’ beast, as Mahomes decided to chug a beer and showcase his fitness on a bucking machine.

In the video, Mahomes is seen downing a beer within seconds before taking on the daunting task of maintaining his balance on a mechanical bull. While he may not be taking on a real, 1000lb beast of burden, ask anyone about a bucking machine and they’ll tell you the truth. Staying atop one is no small task. Weighing in at just over 225lbs, Mahomes effortlessly took down the challenge of the bull by maintaining his balance with ease. But he certainly isn’t the first in the Mahomes family to try out his hand at the bucking machine.

While Mahomes seemed to have a fun time atop the mechanical bull while chugging a beer, the same cannot be said about his own brother. Earlier this year, just days after Patrick’s Super Bowl victory, footage emerged showing Patrick’s brother, the controversial Jackson Mahomes, riding a mechanical bull, alongside a woman in a thong. 

The video went viral, and the Mahomes family drew heavy criticism for the inappropriate video. Little did they know, that the video was just the beginning of a summer full of controversies for the family. Just weeks later, accusations against Jackson Mahomes would emerge, with claims of sexual assault and battery being levied on the TikTok star, eventually leading to his arrest. Jackson’s case still remains in court, with Jackson currently out of jail on bond.
