Thornhill elevated his team-mate with Patrick Mahomes’s level and gave a staggering comparison. Juan who played for three seasons with Mahomes side KC Chiefs compared the QB with one of his former team-mate. The player in question is the NFL veteran Deshaun Watson. Despite missing out on most games during recent seasons, Thornhill gave a high earning praise to his team-mate.

Juan Thornhill, the Cleveland Browns recent recruit gave a high level of praise for his QB. He didn’t shy away from comparing the competitiveness between Deshaun and Mahomes. Speaking to the media on the sidelines, the safety said “I see a lot of things in him that I saw in Pat. ….Deshaun has the traits of a great quarterback”

All the Browns’ players and management have high hopes for their stalwart. However, recently Watson looks a mere shade of his prime self. During his golden period between 2018 and 2020, the QB was going all gung ho and won 3X Pro-Bowls on the trot. Since then, the performance has been underwhelming. However, with a shake-up of things in the Browns’s lineup and with the arrival of Thornhill, things are expected to get better. The appreciation should give a boost for Deshaun and unleash his inner Mahomes!

Talking about getting out of the top NFL quarterback rankings, Watson gave an honest answer. “I missed two years of football, so I shouldn’t be in those rankings, to be honest,” He further elaborated saying, “If you’re asking me, I haven’t played ball. I haven’t played enough football the last few years to even be up there.”
Watson has now changed his mindset completely. Since his dramatic return, there appears to be a spark in his demeanor as he approaches the team’s practice sessions. He’s now focusing on not trying to impress anyone and taking his mind away from expectations. The QB affirms he’s now self-driven and wants to be the best Deshaun Watson has ever played.
