Cincinnati Bengals took off their season with a disappointing start. Their much-anticipated quarterback, Joe Burrow, who recovered from a calf injury to take the lead as a quarterback was benched in the season opener against the Cleveland Browns. After a harrowing defeat by 3-24, the Bengals are just seeking a recalibration to bounce back in their next game.

Burrow grabbed a promising contract with the franchise before the commencement of the regular season. During the fourth quarter against the Brown, he made his way to the bench after throwing several failed passes, raising concerns in the Bengals’ camp.

Post which Burrow was benched. Highlighting the scenario, Bleacher Report’s Twitter account wrote, “Bengals benched Joe Burrow in the 4Q after going down 24-3 vs. Browns. 14/31, 82 YDS. He just became the NFL’s highest-paid player on Thursday.” Sarcastically one of the users tweeted, “$275M for 82 passing yards.” with a crying emoji at the end.

It’s Burrow’s contract that is gaining significant attention after his disappointing gameplay. With the tag of highest-paid NFL player, Burrow has extra weight on his shoulders to live up to the standards that were earlier set by himself.

And players like Joe Burrow define resilience and strength, and they know the key to bounce back from a daunting phase.  But again, let’s not forget, it’s just Week one of 18 and a lot is yet to be proven!
