Aaron Rodgers has had the good fortune of having great wide receivers as his targets. He had no shortage in terms of athletes who would catch his brilliant passes. However, with former teammate Davante Adams playing for the Raiders, it seemed like Rodgers might have run out of luck. Although, it seems like A-Rod is still blessed with the presence of lady luck. In a recent locker room interview, Rodgers spoke about his brilliant rookie receiver, Christian Watson.

The veteran quarterback spoke in praise of his young teammate. He mentioned how indispendible the rookie is for the teammate. Furthermore, he also compared the young rookie to other famed wide receivers in the league.
A-Rod on his rookie wide receiver
During a locker room interview, Rodgers was asked about his rookie wide receiver, Christian Watson. The quarterback was all smiles when he spoke about the youngster. He appreciated the skills that Watson had been showcasing on the field lately.
The quarterback went on to compare Watson’s speed to some of the best in the league. He compared Watson to the infamous Cheetah of the league. The Tyreek Hill comparisons will definitely be music to the young rookie’s ears. Rodgers said, “He has dynamic speed. You know like we’ve seen some of the numbers. Him and Tyreek I think are two of the fastest guys in the league we just haven’t had that kind of speed around here so he’s got a different skill set.” The rookie’s skills definitely caught the eye of A-Rod as he spoke in depth about Watson’s special skills.

Watson the Wunderkind
Christian Watson is a rookie receiver in the league. He has come fresh into the league and has been paired with one of the biggest veteran quarterbacks of the league. Considering the amount of pressure that exists while being a Packers player, Watson has been playing exceptionally well. He has gone on to get very high praise from Aaron Rodgers and has impressed his leader with his playing style. Rodgers praise extended onto Watson’s unorthodox skills and fast pace of growth. He said, “He’s got a different skill set from a base level and then the things he’s improved is catching the football. Now it might be a little unorthodox at times the way he catches it but uh he’s catching them all he’s catching them all.”
The rookie has definitely surpassed expectations while playing for the Packers. His standard of performance has been good enough to earn the praise of A-Rod. It remains to be seen how well the rookie receiver performs for the Packers for the remainder of the season.
