This off-season has brought about some surprising news from all the corners of the league. Recently, Arizona Cardinals made a shocking move of releasing their Pro Bowl wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins. This has led to a huge uproar all around the league with teams rushing to sign him. A lot of teams believe that a player as prolific as him might just be the missing piece in their puzzle. However, one team’s QB has gone public about his talks with Hopkins and that is Deshaun Watson.

The Cleveland Browns QB recently went viral on Twitter with his talks about how he might just be able to bring the WR to Cleveland. After his statements, trusty NFL Insider, Dov Kleiman took to Twitter to share Watson’s confident words.

After Hopkins got released, there were multiple speculations and rumors about where he’ll land. However, it seems like the Browns have gotten their QB involved in recruitment. The QB mentioned that he has been in touch with the WR and has potentially been talking to him about coming to Cleveland.

Even Hopkins has mentioned that he would be open to joining his old teammate down in Cleveland. However, teams like the Chiefs and the Bills supposedly pose a threat to an illustrious deal such as this.

Interestingly, seeing the duo reunited will definitely help the chances the Browns have in the upcoming season.

Deandre Hopkins’ illustrious career

Hopkins has been a top-tier WR in the league for quite a while now. Throughout his career, Hopkins has performed brilliantly. He has raked in a total of 11,310 yards. He also has a total of 71 touchdowns, giving him an average of a little more than 7 touchdowns per season. Along with this, the WR has a total of 853 receives throughout the 10 seasons, averaging out to 5.9 receives per game.

Furthermore, his stats with Deshaun Watson have been very promising. In the 38 games they’ve played together, the WR has scored 25 touchdowns. He has also caught a whopping 264 catches and covered 3,343 yards with the QB. All in all, they seem to be a promising duo if they’re given a chance to play together.
