The Kansas City Chiefs locked horns with the Los Angeles Chargers during the Thursday night game with first place at AFC West at stake. After exchanging jabs throughout the night, the Chiefs emerged victorious after taking the game to a thrilling overtime drama. Ultimately, it was tight end Travis Kelce who helped the Chiefs seal a win and take their streak to a whopping seven games.
In their 34-28 win over the Chargers, Patrick Mahomes outperformed a rookie Justin Herbert by a mile. And in doing so, he hushed those who believed Chiefs to be dead and buried back in October.
The Week 15 starter was action-packed as it had everything that would make the game exciting. Eight total touchdowns, four turnovers on downs, two interceptions, two fumbles, and a whole lot of drama, to make one sit at the edge of their seat. And also not to mention the game-changing reception that helped the Chiefs return from an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and Patrick Mahomes sneak in for a win
Kelce had ten catches and contributed 191 of Mahomes’ 410 throwing yards along with two of his three passing touchdowns. On the other hand, Tyreek Hill added 12 receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown as the cheetah continued to dominate.
With three of the fourth-down stops noted earlier and two important turnovers, the defense also came through when it was required. With 14 combined tackles, rookie Nick Bolton led the way, along with Tershawn Wharton stripping a fumble and Anthony Hitchens grabbing a pick. At the sight of KC Chiefs taking the win home, Twitter erupted, praising the star of the night Travis Kelce.

What a game! Chargers have a very good team, and are just as talented as the Chiefs. Going to be fun watching Mahomes & Herbert go at it. That game tonight…shows the importance of coaching in the NFL. Chargers lost because of poor coaching decisions. #ChiefsKingdom #BoltUp #TNF

Although what seems to be absurd is the sudden rise of the long-believed dead Chiefs back in their winning form. And with an impressive record of 10-4 and just three games to go for the regular season to end. It very much seems that the Chiefs will be dominating the AFC Championship as much as they have for the previous three seasons.
