Patrick Mahomes is having a year to remember. After dominating on the offense without his most trusted wide receiver, he had the biggest news of the year when Pat and Brittany welcomed their second child into their family. The couple has gone with the Mahomes family tradition and named their son Patrick Lavon Mahomes III. But lovingly, they call him Bronze.

Ever since Bronze’s birth, NFL Twitter has been obsessed with the ultra-cute addition to the Mahomes roster. With veteran 1-year-old Sterling Skye Mahomes already making the Mahomes the favorites for the Family of the Year prizes, the arrival of Bronze has but solidified their position. Recently, mother and former professional soccer star Brittany Mahomes tweeted a heartwarming post dedicated to young Bronze.
“Crazy how a little human can keep you up at night, but you still wake up every morning loving that little human to death,” Patrick Mahomes’ wife tweeted. And NFL fans poured their heart out in admiration and support of the mother of two, especially the parents.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Lynne are high school sweethearts who got married this year at a private ceremony in Hawaii. The Kansas City Chiefs star even has the family drop in on his home games from time to time.

While fans loved the emotion Brittany shared on Twitter, some die-hard Kansas fans want that third franchise Super Bowl. And they know the importance of an alert and healthy Patrick Mahomes to bring the title home. The youngest NFL and Super Bowl MVP brought the championship to Kansas after a 50-year drought in his third season. And fans don’t want the Chiefs quarterback to stay up too late for Bronze.

The name Bronze was actually not the brainchild of either parent. It was Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson who suggested the name as it had the catchy Bronze-Sterling sibling bond implications. And it seems to have clicked pretty well.

Brittany’s motherhood was on full display and the mothers on Twitter reminded her of the upcoming struggles and wished her the best. Father Mahomes is leading the Chiefs to another potential conference championship and a Super Bowl. Kansas has won five of their last six games. And this is without Tyreek Hill. Patrick Mahomes leads the MVP race and leads the league in touchdowns and passing yards. Tight end Travis Kelce is also putting on a masterful display and leads the receiving TD charts.
Next up, the 10-3 Chiefs face the Houston Texans. Can Bronze help his father bring the gold home this season?
