It’s that time of the year once again. The NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow. A fresh batch of supremely talented athletes is about to embark on the biggest chapters of their lives. Something that they had been dreaming of and preparing for ever since childhood. And things get extra special for all those who enter the draft coming from a foreign background. This time, all eyes are on two players from London. Two machines slated for success, who also happen to be twins.

Sydney and Chase Brown didn’t travel across the Atlantic. The twins were born in London, Ontario, to neighbors up north. Mother Raechel Brown was just 18 when the twins saw light. And tomorrow they are set to enter the NFL Draft after finishing stellar collegiate careers in Illinois.

Although Chase and Sydney Brown started their college careers in different programs, the former quickly realized that he needed his brother for the push. Chase Brown transferred from Western Michigan to Illinois, just to be with his brother. That’s how close the duo is. However, all that will change when the two enter the draft class this year.

According to NFL Scouts, both brothers are projected to be Day 3 picks. Running back Chase ranked 137 on ESPN’s Draft Prospect list and his brother Sydney, a safety, ranked 125. Sydney Brown can also shadow as a linebacker and will potentially be useful to a handful of NFL teams looking to improve their special teams. Sydney made First-Team All-Big Ten in 2022, while Chase secured second-team All-Big Ten in 2022, along with the Jon Cornish trophy for the top Canadian player in NCAA football.

Chase Brown, at 5-foot-11 and 205 pounds, has proved to be a versatile and complementary running back. He enjoyed a 1000-yard rushing season in 2021. His ball-carrying skills improved significantly during the 2022 season, where he only had one game where he rushed fewer than 98 yards. He finished the season with 1643 rushing yards, the 4th most in the top division.

Chase and Sydney Brown are mirror twins

Despite being identical in nature and born only 2 minutes apart, there are a lot of distinguishing factors between Chase and Sydney Brown. Chase is left-handed and laid back, while Sydney is right-handed and more intense. And these two personalities clash perfectly on the field during practice drills.

As per ‘fipress’, Illinois coaches regretted their decision to pit the twins against each other during workouts. Chase and Sydney ended up fighting one another, only to be separated by spectators and players. However, that is perfectly natural for the beastly brothers from Canada. The twins recently went on their visit to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Already having the footballing genes from their estranged father, Darren Isaac, who played in the Canadian Football League, Chase, and Sydney Brown are sure to wreak havoc in the NFL in upcoming years.
