Trey Lance is not the first NFL player to get trolled. His tribe often becomes victims of the virtual vitriol. The star himself became the target of the online hounding when a 27-year-old correspondent at BallySports recently uploaded a stunning picture of herself on Twitter. The post grabbed eyeballs and drew many comments, so did her caption.
Lance was lately drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. As confirmed by 49ers general manager John Lynch, the Cowboys will trade a fourth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a player who was selected third overall in the 2021 draft. The trade took place after Lance was unable to secure backup to Brock Purdy in San Francisco. The team dynamics at Cowboys, however, might look more promising for the young QB.

On Aug 27, 2023, she tweeted a gorgeous picture of herself dressed in a white off-shoulder dress with a thigh-high slit, resting on a wooden fence. She completed her look with a pair of brown cowboy boots and a neutral cowboy hat. Her gold looks were unfastened and she accessorized the look with a pair of chunky gold hoops and a matching necklace. Her hefty fan base soon flooded the post with appreciation.
However, her caption drew considerable attention: “been on a field more than trey lance this year.” It was a direct jab at the young QB’s absence from main front action predominantly because of team change and injury.
Fans were quick to react, someone said, “Too true… poor guy should not have been a top draft choice. Hopefully, he’ll be a solid backup in Dallas.” While someone else chimed, “Why do you gotta do Trey like that!”
How it goes for Lance
There is a lot of change anticipated in Dallas after Terry’s draft. Lance has been taken on board as a potential second QB to their franchise QB, Dak Prescott. But given his efficiency he could potentially be a future replacement for Prescott in case he fancies moving forward with another franchise.

Before being drafted by the 49ers, Lance had started only 17 games at FCS-level North Dakota State and therefore does not have as much experience as is required in the NFL. Injuries have caused further absence from the field.
But there might be someone standing in his way, not only towards becoming the franchise QB but actually retaining the possibility of acquiring his position as 2nd QB. The roadblock comes in the form of Cooper Rush.
